Chatiw app?
There is nothing to download

Chatiw is a site, not a store download. It opens in the browser already on your phone, and if you want the icon and the full screen that an app gives you, three taps put it on your home screen.

Looking for the app?

There is not one to install — and on a chat site that is the point. Nothing goes through a store, nothing sits in a download list, and there is no sign-up form between the link and the match screen.

Open the chat

Put it on your home screen

Every current phone browser can do this, and most desktop ones. It is a browser feature — you are not installing anything of ours.

iPhone and iPad

in Safari
  1. Open chatiwus.com in Safari. It loads straight away — there is no form in the way.
  2. Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow coming out of it. It sits at the bottom of the screen on an iPhone and at the top on an iPad.
  3. Scroll the list and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.

Safari is the route that always works. Some other iPhone browsers can do it too, but they hide it in different places, so Safari is the one worth telling you about.

Android

in Chrome
  1. Open chatiwus.com in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top right.
  3. Tap Install app, or Add to Home screen if that is what your version calls it.

Samsung Internet, Firefox and Edge all have the same option somewhere in their menu, under one of those two names.

Windows and Mac

in Chrome or Edge
  1. Open chatiwus.com in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Look for the small install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar.
  3. Click it, then Install. It opens in its own window from then on.

Recent Safari on a Mac has its own version of this, under Add to Dock in the Share menu. And if your browser has none of it, nothing is lost — the site is the same in a normal tab.

What that changes, and what it does not

What you get

  • An icon on your home screen, named Chatiw, with the same mark as the site.
  • It opens in its own window, with no address bar and no browser tabs around it.
  • It opens straight on the match screen, so you are one tap from a conversation.
  • Nothing downloads from a store, so there is no store account and no install history.

What it is not

  • It is not a listing in the App Store or on Google Play, and searching those for it will not find it.
  • It is the same site, not a separate program — so there is no update to install and no version for you to keep track of.
  • It does not change what the site can do. Same conversations, same rules, same account or lack of one.
  • Removing it is deleting the icon — the same as any bookmark. What the browser had already saved for the site stays where browser data always lives, and clearing that is the browser’s own setting, not ours.

Questions about using it on a phone

Is there a Chatiw app on the App Store or Google Play?
No, and there is nothing to download anywhere else either. Chatiw runs at chatiwus.com in the browser your phone already has. If you want it to behave like an app — its own icon, its own window, no address bar — adding it to your home screen does that in three taps, and takes no storage worth measuring.
How do I get Chatiw on my home screen?
On an iPhone: open chatiwus.com in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android: open it in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, then Install app. On a computer: open it in Chrome or Edge and click the install icon at the end of the address bar. The icon that appears opens straight on the match screen.
Does mobile chat here work the same as on a computer?
Yes. It is one site, not a cut-down mobile version, and the match screen offers Text, Audio and Video on a phone exactly as it does on a laptop. In practice most people here are on a phone.
Do I need to sign up before using it on my phone?
No registration form, on any device. Opening the chat creates a guest session for you, which is what makes blocking and reporting work at all. It is free to start — your first conversations are included — and some things such as longer calls and gifts use credits later, with the cost shown before you use them.
Will it work on an older phone?
If the phone has a current browser, the site loads. Text costs a phone the least, so it is the mode worth choosing on hardware or a connection that struggles with video — you can switch modes inside a conversation afterwards.
